Seven out of the 18 people arrested and standing trial for the murder of
the Aluu4 victims were yesterday discharged by a Port Harcourt Chief
Magistrates' Court. Their reason? Not enough evidence to suggest they
were involved in the killing.
The remaining 11 accused persons,
including Alhaji Hassan Walewa, the paramount ruler of Omuokiri-Aluu,
will face trial for the murder of Tekena Elkanah, Toku Lloyd, Chiadika
Biringa and Ugonna
Obuzor.
